At this stage of life, they separate from their loved ones to live in a place close to the university. Without prior training, they must learn to manage money, eat different things and get used to a new life style. The objective of this research was to investigate the students' experiences after leaving their place of origin, identifying pleasant and unpleasant experiences from the perspective of being a woman. The research is qualitative, with an inductive-analytical method, since it allows us to observe and formulate the results of the participants' experiences. According to the interviews, the life story and experiences, the results were written. In conclusion, the life stages of each of them, their way of living, and events that they have had to overcome throughout their university life were evident. The experiences of the participants are a small sample that does not intend to make generalities, but that happens to many women in several parts of the world.
Estefania Yamilet Marcial Díaz Santos Noé Herrera Mijangos Dayana Luna Reyes Copyright (c) 2023 Estefania Yamilet Marcial Díaz, Santos Noé Herrera Mijangos, Dayana Luna Reyes http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 119 135 10.7764/rts.99.119-135 The virtual government of itself: Facebook Case https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/66959
In this article, you will find qualitative-ethnographic research that was developed among young university students from Bogotá taking as references their subjective constructions on Facebook, the interpretive model was that of Foucault, while the subjective construction was seen as a form of self-government, framed in a technology of governmentality called neoliberalism. This perspective, despite being recognized, has encountered difficulties, especially with regard to the Social Assistance Policy, which was enshrined as a citizen's right and a duty of the state, free of charge and universal in the provision of social minimums. Not unlike other countries, the issue has been affected by the development of neoliberalism, which has resulted in ambiguous situations in the construction of policy and professionalism and in the protection of workers. In this sense, this study analyses the implementation of the institutionalization of social assistance policy and the consequences for social workers and psychologists under the reform of the state. The qualitative research analyzed 22 forms by social workers and psychologists about their work and the processing of demands in social assistance services. The study indicated that, although the social assistance policy retains conservative traits, there have been advances in the provision of social assistance services, which has been contradictory for the workers, who find themselves in a situation of intensified and precarious working conditions, which ends up impacting on the results of their work with the population.

Valter Martins Heloísa Helena Mesquita Maciel Copyright (c) 2023 Valter Martins, Heloísa Helena Mesquita Maciel http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 150 164 10.7764/rts.99.150-164 Adults in conflict with the law and their socio-labor conditions in Cuenca, Ecuador https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/68249
The study seeks to describe the socio-labor conditions of Adults in Conflict with the Law (PACL) who obtained the semi-open regime in the period 2021-2022, and the role of Social Workers in this process. A methodology with a quantitative and qualitative approach is used through surveys and semi-structured interviews, the design is non-experimental – cross-sectional and phenomenological. With regard to socio-labor conditions, the micro level reveals that PACLs belong mostly to nuclear and extended families. At the meso level, friendships and romantic partners are essential for reintegration; The labour sector in which they are concentrated is the private sector and the branches of activity in which they work are differentiated by sex. The qualitative reveals that access to employment is influenced by the support of mesosystems; However, job opportunities are scarce due to social bias and criminal records. There is limited participation of CPL Social Work professionals in the reintegration process due to lack of resources. The study shows the usefulness of ecological theory to identify the different levels at which micro and meso factors interact with respect to socio-labor conditions and accessibility to jobs.
Magaly Lorena Loja Arévalo Francisco Alexander Arias Pallaroso Copyright (c) 2023 Magaly Lorena Loja Arévalo, Francisco Alexander Arias Pallaroso http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 165 186 10.7764/rts.99.165-186 100 años del Trabajo social en Chile y Latinoamérica. However, higher education institutions like universities, which require practical complements, were unable to continue with the development of these practical activities. The School of Nursing at Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) Tijuana, in collaboration with the Centro de Integración Juvenil A.C Tijuana Soler, harnessed ICTs to facilitate health prevention and promotion, allowing sixth-semester students to proceed with mental health-focused practices. Development: In teams, students carried out weekly awareness campaigns on social media using visual aids and virtual workshops that covered mental health and addiction prevention, including playful workshops for children. Conclusions: This innovative methodology reached over 50,000 individuals, showcasing the potential of social networks and emphasizing the need to integrate digital competencies and ICT management into nursing education, as cornerstones in health promotion and disease prevention.
Javier Alejandro Pérez-Avilés Copyright (c) 2023 Javier Alejandro Pérez-Avilés http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 187 196 10.7764/rts.99.187-196 Participatory psychoeducational intervention to alleviate caregiver burden in palliative care: an adult education-based approach by Freire (2005) https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/67927
This paper presents a proposal for an intervention related to caregiver overload in the context of Palliative Care in Chile, as part of a Professional Social Work Practicum project. The article includes an extensive literature review that demonstrates the multifactorial deterioration that caregivers can experience. Based on this, a participatory psychoeducational intervention was implemented, drawing inspiration from Paulo Freire's adult education principles, as it was understood that learning should be a collaborative process. The goal of the project was to contribute to improving the biopsychosocial well-being of caregivers, reducing their burden by preparing, educating, and raising awareness about the importance of reducing the risk of overload, practicing self-care, and having support networks. The results highlight the importance of working with caregivers and creating innovative spaces to enhance their biopsychosocial well-being.
Francisca Padilla Pino Copyright (c) 2023 Francisca Padilla Pino http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 197 203 10.7764/rts.99.197-203 Innovation and talent management: public officers towards a quality social policy https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/68373
Ensuring that social policies obtain quality results becomes a challenge for the organizations responsible for social development in Chile. The purpose of this article is to show that innovation and talent management are key competencies in the professional practice of public servants and determining factors when implementing any social policy. The results of the implementation of the project "Innovative Public Talent" in the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Social Development and Family O'Higgins region are presented, which has been implemented since 2018 and seeks to improve the performance of professionals in their public function, as well as enhance the value of the local teams responsible for the government offer to people in vulnerable situations. Using qualitative techniques, this experience is analyzed, and the results are discussed in terms of the competitive advantages achieved to strengthen the institutional capacity of the State and the impact of the project on the achievement of social policy objectives. Finally, we reflect on the relevance of this type of projects in the fulfillment of objectives in public institutions, as well as in the direct impact on social policies.

Karen González Flores Copyright (c) 2023 Karen González Flores http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 204 210 10.7764/rts.99.204-210 Reconocimiento a revisores 2023 https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/71069 Revista de Trabajo Social Copyright (c) 2023 Revista de Revista de Trabajo Social http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 214 215 10.7764/rts.99.214-215 Social Policies and Juvenile Delinquency: Scope and Limits of Human Capital. Author: Dante Jeremías Boga (EUDEM - Editorial de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2021) https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/65067
This work analyzes the policies carried out in Argentina with young people in conflict with the criminal law. Particularly, the focus of the study is raised on the interventions implemented from the area of professional training and training with young people in the context of confinement. In this sense, a journey is made around the transformations that have been carried out in the province of Buenos Aires, and gave rise to a paradigm shift: from the irregular situation of minors to the perspective of promotion and protection of rights of girls, boys and adolescents. On the other hand, the support of the theory of human capital is considered as a notion that underlies the training actions that are carried out in the context of confinement. Third, empirical data is presented regarding the socio-family profiles of young people who are part of the confinement institution and the operation of the training devices that are proposed. Finally, the author proposes five points to reconsider the formulation of social policies for this social sector.
Débora Gamboa Copyright (c) 2023 Débora Débora Gamboa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 211 213 10.7764/rts.99.211-213 Teresa López Vázquez: Un Legado de Compromiso y Lucha https://analesliteraturachilena.letras.uc.cl/index.php/RTS/article/view/71079 Copyright (c) 2023 Cecilia Aguayo Cuevas, Magdalena Calderón Orellana http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 99 216 217 10.7764/rts.99.216-217
