Abstract

With my lids shut, lashes oiled with sleep and urges,
My hands got caught in the spokes of unstoppable trains:
Faltering, threatening sages.
Yes, despite my whale blubbering,
my visual lubrication,
The screech and the grinding of literary gears.
The metallic sparks,
my fathomless visions….

Author Biography

Mary Ann Christensen, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Mary Ann Christensen studied English Literature and Linguistics at Pontificia Universidad Católica and has a degree in English teaching. She is currently a member of the English department at The Grange School, teaching literature to middle and high school students while writing on the side. She has been published in a few independent magazines here and abroad.
