Author Biography

Susan Foote, Universidad de Concepción

Dr. Foote is an associate professor at the Universidad de Concepción in Concepción, Chile where she teaches undergraduate courses in English Literature as well as graduate courses in Latin American Literature. Her book on Mapuche testimony, Pascual Coña: Historias de sobrevivientes. La voz en la letra y la letra en la voz was published in December  2012 by the Editorial Universidad de Concepción. She was born in San Diego, California and has lived and worked in  Chile since 1992. Her research interests include cultural studies, post-colonial literature, Mapuche testimony and poetry.
She has studied Mapudungun for the past six years.
