Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Declares to know and accept the editorial process to which his manuscript will be submitted, described in the publication standards of the Revista Chilena de Derecho, and what if the manuscript is admitted he or she will suscribe the editorial contract.
  • The manuscript has no contents that are being subject to revision in other publications as part of a lengthier work.
  • Declares to know and accept the terms and conditions of the "Manual of Ethical Standards and Good Practices", and that it fulfills all of its provisions, both formal and substantial.
  • Declares that the manuscript strictly adheres to the editorial norms, especially in relation to the formal rules.
  • Declares that knows and accepts the rules about academic inbreeding, the criteria for giving priority to the publication of manuscripts, the estimated time for revision of manuscripts, and the rules about the interpretation of editorial norms.
  • The manuscript is original and has not been published, nor is it total or partially available, either in a hardcopy format or digitally, neither is it pending acceptance or publication in any format.
  • The manuscript is not part of an expert witness report nor is it made up by such a report.
  • The manuscript will not be simultaneously submitted to the consideration of other journals or books, either in its entirety or partly, in any format (hardcopy or digital), while the process before the editorial process before the Revista Chilena is still pending.
  • The manuscript or part of it has not been previously published neither has it been submitted previously to the consideration of any other journal (or this situation has been explained in the commentaries to the editor).
  • The manuscript is written according to the style and bibliography requirements stated in the publication standards, that are described in the About section of the journal.
  • The attached file’s name is not longer tan 40 characters, it must also include special characters and spaces
  • Already completed and signed the commitment letter, and will attach it to the online submission (the letter is available below).

Author Guidelines

The Revista Chilena de Derecho is open to the permanent reception and publication of manuscripts of national and foreign authors who have a law degree.

 

Job Selection

The Revista Chilena de Derecho publishes in its sections of studies, case law commentaries, essays and chronicles, papers that have been subject to external arbitrators appointed for this purpose. The evaluation guidelines and criteria applied by each arbitrator, and by the Editorial Committee, are related to the content, quality, relevance, scientific nature, interest of the subject; treatment, development and scientific methodology used in the elaboration; updated use of sources and bibliography.
