Abstract

Having just turned the hundredth anniversary of Tolstoi’s death, it is introduced the Tolstoyan community of Pio IX, which almost simultaneously as the Community of San Bernardo, developed a short common lifespan at the beginning of the XX century, at the bottom of the San Cristobal Hill. A community inspired by the ideals, lifestyle, convictions and practices of the Earl Tolstoi and other utopian ideologists of the XIX century, its existence has critical relevance for the knowledge of the protohistory of the anarchist movements of the Chilean history
