Code of Ethics

In order to ensure harmonious interaction between all parties involved and maintain the quality of the content, Anales de Literatura Chilena requests authors, evaluators and the editorial team of the journal to follow the highest principles of intellectual and scientific integrity.

Responsibilities of the Director:

• Consult the Editorial Committee to address issues related to the editorial policy of the journal.
• Call the Editorial Committee to regular meetings, at least once a month.
• Provide official certification to the reviewers for each evaluation carried out.
• Ensure the validity of the legal registrations of the journal.
• Manage the human and material resources necessary for the optimal operation of the journal before the corresponding entities.
• Implement initiatives to improve the quality, visibility and presentation of the journal.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Team:

• Choose and assign reviewers for the works received, based on their experience in the corresponding subject.
• Communicate to the authors the results of the evaluation process of their works.
• Protect the identity of the reviewers by keeping it confidential.
• Reject proposals that have already been published in other journals, as well as those that present total or partial plagiarism.
• Conduct an initial review of the works before sending them for external evaluation and notify the authors of this decision.
• Resolve any conflict that arises during the evaluation and editing process, based on the guidelines for Blind Peer Review.
• Work on the editing process.

Reviewers' Responsibilities:

• Declare and explain any potential conflict of interest that may affect their evaluation.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding the content they are reviewing.
• Do not transfer their role to other researchers.
• Issue their judgment based on the strengths and weaknesses of the text, using the evaluation format provided.
• Send the results of their review within the deadline established by the journal.
• Do not quote or reproduce the text that has been entrusted to them.

Authors' Responsibilities:

• Submit proposals for collaboration that are original and not in other editorial processes.
• Comply with the "Publication Standards" established by the journal.
• If applicable, make corrections and improvements to your texts after acceptance, considering the evaluators' suggestions.
• Send the requested corrections within the period indicated by the journal.

Unacceptable Conduct:
• Plagiarism: Total or partial reproduction of previously published works by others or your own, without adequate recognition. Texts that incur plagiarism will be rejected.
• Multiple submissions: Submitting the same article to several publications will result in the disqualification of the article or in the automatic cancellation of the evaluation process.
• Manipulation of the evaluation: If a conflict of interest is detected in the evaluation, the result will be annulled and the work will be reassigned to another reviewer.
• Suggestions for own publications: Reviewers should not recommend that their own publications be considered to improve the reviewed work.
