Abstract

I begin this paper exposing the uneven critical and editorial reception on the chilean cultural field of the poets David and Mauricio Rosenmann Taub. Then I focus my attention on the unique strategies they use, which I describe as metaphysical games. Their main features are that they experiment with language, either with its sound o graphical qualities, and also the use of an uninhibited or humoristic tone. Although they show divergent ways towards a concentration or explosion of meanings, in both cases poetry turns to be a way of recalling absence.
