Abstract

Chile was a country of great opportunities for the Catalan intelligentsia, from which they would carry out important social, cultural and literary initiatives, especially considering the helplessness, vulnerability and discredited nature of the Catalan cultural circuit after the war of 1936. This paper therefore aims to delve into the factors that made possible these relationships between Chileans and Catalans, as well as the impact these initiatives played in the Chilean press of the time
