Abstract

This article problematizes what, based on the author's testimony in his Historia personal del boom, has been considered up until now as the incipit of his novel El lugar sin límites. The results are based on a genetic study of a selection of the notebooks that are part of the creative process of “El último Azocitía”-“El obsceno pájaro de la noche”, and “La Manuela”-“El lugar sin límites”.
